Reconnecting in Australia’s HeartlandIt is with great excitement and anticipation that I share the 2022 Company Conference details with you. For many of you, this will be your first ICMSA Company Conference and for those of you that have never been before, we expect new benchmarks to be created and that you will very much enjoy the experiences, both personal and professional. Each day we have planned professional development and a lot of fun (more on that later). Working groups will be created and are designed to give each of you the opportunity to share your ideas and insights to help you execute your respective roles at ICMSA. There is group work, idea generation and activities designed to help us work cohesively as a team across all sectors of the organisation. Our core values of respect, empathy and kindness combined with our intelligent minds will be on show. It is said that a visit to Central Australia can change a person for life. Alice Springs is smack bang in the centre of Australia and its heartland. Alice is full of incredible natural beauty - where the landscape and colours change daily. The Territory is a destination for those who are seeking something different. At ICMSA we seek to be different and stand out from the crowd. We lead by actions and words and should be very proud of our achievements. This trip is both a thank you for your incredible hard work and time for us to reconnect in-person. So, get ready, pack your best fishnets and feathers! Because we are heading to the bush, to the Never-Never, into the Outback and the beating heart of Australia – in a Town called Alice! Emma |

Time for your Time TableFor your reference, an outline of the detail itinerary is provided below.
|
What to PackThe dress code for the Program is Business Casual. We request that you wear closed-in shoes every day. This is particularly important for the hot air ballooning activity. You must wear appropriate clothing for this – no floating dresses/skirts etc, no scarves or ties or loose clothing of any kind. Please leave all leisure wear and gym clothes at home. Jeans are not considered Business Casual – however, on the final flight home you are welcome to wear them or pants….indeed pants are a must at all times! And like our instructions to delegates, we recommend you pack layered clothing. The forecast is for mild days and cold nights….yes you are reading correctly. The centre of Australia is cold overnight. At social events, you are welcome to wear footwear and clothing of your choice. And for the Priscilla evening as little or as much as you like! |
Trivia NightYou will be indoors. Team names are a giveaway to the theme of the table. You don’t have to bring anything – just your wisdom, knowledge and enthusiasm. There are prizes for each round and the coveted ICMSA TRIVIA TROPHY! Your Team Captain will provide table themes for you.
|
Priscilla Queen of the DesertDressing in the theme is mandatory. A quick review of previous Company Conferences will indicate you will feel left out if you don’t dress up! Plus, there is a prize for the Best Costume! You will be outdoors but we have fire pits on order – and you will soon warm up with the entertainment and cocktails we have organised. Of course, bring a warm outer layer (or Feather boas) with your costume. |
FinallyWe have endeavoured to provide you with everything you will need on-site but if you have any questions that are not covered above – and no you will not be told the location or the exact activity – please email Emma @ [email protected] |
